Sorry for the lack of posts. I’ve just arrived back in Singapore and have been spending my time with my family (: For those of you who don’t really know, I have a HUGE list of places to go to when I am back in Singapore. The list just keeps increasing! haha and those that I keep going, are definitely those that I will keep in my list!

My brother is one person who would always try to bring me to as many places in the list as possible, despite his busy schedule. hehe Thanks korkor! hehe So this time, we decided to go for something we both have  been craving (Especially me haha) CRAB! (: So we went to Big Eater! There has been mixed reviews about this place, but we decided to give it a go anyways! hehe

Kor made the booking a night before. But this place is huge! so unless you’re going on a public holiday, I don’t think booking is necessary. But just in case, just do it! (: Wouldn’t take long anyways. hehe

The good thing about this place is that the valet is free! (: of course we should always tip them after cause they helped us park our car. hehe

we ordered heaps of food. haha and there were only 5 of us!

long beans with mince and dried shrimp (: super yummy! and the beans were cooked perfectly. Still crunchy! hehe

pork ribs! was pretty yummy! and the small was just enough for us 3 cos my brother doesn’t eat meat anymore.

crispy beancurd roll with prawn paste. This was super yummy. Deep fried goodness but wasn’t oily at all!

with mayo. SO GOOD! (:

this one is special. when it came, i thought it was the usual hor fun. hehe but boy was it much more!

the kueh teow is transparent! (: thus the name : crystal hor fun! hehe

it’s so super good! the egg sauce coated every single part of the rice noodles. and it was just super tasty!

the next dish was a little disappointing. I don’t know if it’s because we were anticipating how it would taste and also it was suppose to be the highlight of the night.

salted egg yolk crab (: it’s kinda sweet, and I don’t really know why. My parents said it tasted like there’s cream corn, which is even weirder if it’s really what’s making it sweet. but well. the crab, i must say, is very fresh! Think we should stick to butter, chilli or black pepper crab. haha

my favourite part of the crab : the claws !

a pity is was sweet, or else all these sauce that is coating the crab shell would be awesome with rice!

the last dish : tai lok meen !

the reviews my brother read said that Big Eater had the hokkien noodles closest to the one we had in KL and coincidentally, it was my dad’s favourite dish! hehe so we ordered it to try. It’s nice, but to my dad, it’s still not close to the one we could find in KL. hehe guess we would just need to go to KL for the real one then! hehe

most importantly, the meal was all about being with my family again. and I am really glad to be home (:

ps : I miss my baby. very very much.

Ooh you’re killing me! Everything looks so good!

Anyway I love salted egg crab too- best I’ve ever had is at Ghim Moh, the Crab Master I think it’s called. Drop me a message if you want the exact address- I’ll try source it out.

Welcome home once again, babe! Looking forward to reading all about stuff you’ll get up to while back home 🙂
