On Sundays we always have a ritual.
We leave the house for church
but always 15 mins early
and we end up at the Hudsons opposite St Francis Xavier
and sip a cup of hot chocolate to warm our bodies up
before going for mass.

after church.
we would have a good hearty breakfast.
and last Sunday was no different.
Well. the usual hot chocolate didn’t happen
but we did have a good hearty breaky this week!

this week. since baby was heading to the gym after
we headed to the small alley in Melbourne Central and went to the place we havent tried yet.
Spiga

they had endless tins of T2 loose tea leaves. hehe
awesome.

and what made me happier was that they had my favourite drink
made from the tea leaves itself.
and not just syrup like most places.

yes. it’s my chai soy latter with honey (:

baby had his usual latte
and he said it was one of the better lattes he had as yet. (:

so came down to the food.
cause so far. it was looking good!

and boy was i glad we came here for breakie this time.
I ordered the smoked salmon benedict.
and it was AWESOME! (: really.
the combination of smoked salmon and cooked spinach
with a perfect poached egg and one of the nicest hollandaise sauce.
it’s really really good.
I was really happy. hehe

doesn’t that look awesome?
and it’s not too pricey as well.
the salmon benedict costs the same as the ham or bacon one
and it was of a reasonable price of $12.90! (:

Baby’s breakie was pretty good as well.
was 2 eggs (poached) on toast with a choice of any three sides!
and that’s also $12.90

he had bacon, garlic mushrooms and caramelized onions as the sides
the only down side was that the bacon was chared
and so were the onions. =(
but baby said the eggs were perfectly done!

a close up of the mushrooms

and the close up of the poached eggs (:

well. overall it’s a place we would definitely come back for breakfast.
hopefully the bacon won’t be overdone the next time
other than that.
I am sure to be back for more chai! hehe

my rating : 3.5/5
baby’s rating :
