Malacca Trip 2008

I do apologise for this really late post
and because of this
all the other posts are pushed back as well! haha (:
oopsie.

But anyways.
We made a trip to Malacca with Haolin for just 3 days
and Malacca to us is like a food paradise
not only is the food good, it’s super cheap!
so of course. as usual. we went C.R.A.Z.Y!

haha we had a crazy ride from Singapore to Malacca as well! (:
the boys always have heaps of fun together

Our very first stop was…

CHENDOL! haha. our favourite dessert in Malacca.
it’s something we must have at least once a day!
(yes. at least. sometimes we have it after every meal. haha)

then went to the famous landmark in Malacca

and we headed to this Vegetarian restaurant
that’s recommended by my uncle’s brother who lives in Malacca
and the food was awesome! hehe
we headed to the restaurant for dinner every night
that’s how good it was!

these are the best dishes in the restaurant.
im sure the others are nice too
just that these are my favourites! (:

Breakfast was also fantastic the next day!
we met up with Uncle Hai Joo and he brought us to this small little hut
in the middle of like housing estates
to have nonya food
and it was super good la!

coincidentally, the owner’s surname was the same as mine! haha

the chendol was super awesome
cause there was alot of Gula Melaka. haha

After a super filling breakie
Uncle Hai Joo brought us to his Bird’s Nest house!
super interesting la it was our first time visiting the place
and it was like an education tour about birds nest!

and those that are already washed clean
but this is the really pure one
and you can rarely taste such high quality ones! (:
it was awesome la. hehe

 and we passed by a new landmark : Eye on Malaysia
looks like our flyer la. haha
everywhere is having a ferris wheel now!

was pretty spectacular.
i’ve yet to visit the Singapore Flyer though
heard it’s not too bad! (:

and that night
we met up with Uncle Hai Joo again for supper.
this time was something completely new!
never had it before
and was a interesting concept!

was a buffet satay like concept
and you take whatever you want to eat
dip it in the peanut satay sauce
and let it cook.
TADAH! haha. good food! (:

well after the first 2 days
we covered almost everything we wanted to eat and do
(including shoping of cos)
and what was left to eat on our very last day?

CHICKEN   RICE   BALL !

we saved that for the very last day
before picking up all the prawn crackers
and our very last stop for the trip : Satay!

OMG. haha (: that’s alot of photos and alot of food.
Nonetheless was still a really good trip
and I really won’t mind going there again next year!
